We have an opportunity for a Data Model Delivery Lead to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Data Architecture and Data Modelling capabilities across the Group. This includes establishing frameworks, standards and data models that ensure data is structured, integrated and aligned with Sanctuary's strategic objectives.

This job sits within Technology which is responsible for delivering technology capability within Sanctuary Group to ensure employees have access to the systems they need to perform their duties.

The role of Data Model Delivery Lead will include:

  • Oversee the end-to-end design, development and deployment of data models. Bridging technical data modelling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical) with project management, ensuring scalable data architecture, data governance compliance and alignment with business KPIs
  • Develop, implement and maintain Logical and Physical data models within tools available in the SAP Business Data Cloud platform, managing delivery risks and mentoring teams in Data Modelling and Data Architecture principles. Lead space management in SAP Datasphere, working closely with Data Engineering team to manage and optimise connections and data flows
  • Lead, coach and mentor high performing team of Data Modellers and support wider data team in data modelling and data visualisation best practises. Establish Data Architecture and Data Modelling capability through training, coaching and recruitment aligned to SFIA career pathways
  • Develop and deliver a communication plan to promote awareness and understanding of Data Architecture and Data Modelling principles. Provide training and guidance to data stakeholders on good Data Architecture and Data Modelling practices

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Comprehensive experience of undertaking a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Data Modelling and strong understanding of Data Architecture or Information Architecture at a senior level
  • Proven understanding of SAP data structures in modules within ECC, S/4HANA and/or other cloud products
  • Proven experience working with Data Modelling tools and frameworks such as TOGAF, DAMA, BEAM, Kimball
  • Experience or good understanding of implementing projects in Agile / Scrum / DevOps methodologies
  • Familiarity with Regulatory Frameworks (E.g. GDPR, DPA) and data ethics
  • Recent experience working with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, Lean IX
  • Excellent Communications skills in both written and spoken English

  • Role salary is £64,460 with an additional policy allowance of £18,532 per annum (rising to £67,852 with an additional policy allowance of £19,507 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
