Salary Range: 31,360 37,900 depending on experience

Hours: 35 per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Derby City (office-based)

Cranstoun is a social justice and harm reduction charity supporting people to live healthier and safer lives. We are launching a new substance service in Derby and are looking for a Data Lead to help embed high-quality, insight-driven practice from the start.

About the Role

You will lead on data management, reporting, analysis and data quality across the service, ensuring information supports day-to-day delivery, contractual performance and service improvement.

Working with local managers, frontline staff and our central Performance & Reporting team, you will:

· Produce and interpret performance reports (including national returns such as NDTMS)

· Maintain strong data quality and governance standards

· Support the move from spreadsheets to Power BI reporting

· Train staff and improve data literacy

· Act as the link between service delivery and central data teams

This is a practical role combining analysis, operational oversight and staff support.

About You

You will have experience in a Data, Performance or Information role and be confident working with service data in a complex environment.

You should bring:

· Strong understanding of data quality and governance

· Experience with case management systems and reporting tools (Power BI desirable)

· Ability to explain data clearly to non-technical colleagues

· Good organisational and problem-solving skills

Experience in health, social care, substance use or commissioned services is helpful but not essential.
