Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a dance or performing arts graduate who is looking to develop their skills in dance, choreography and performing arts production at one of the leading schools in the UK.
The appointment is for one year in the first instance and would particularly suit a graduate who intends to pursue a career in dance or performing arts education and who will benefit from the mentoring and experience available at Uppingham. They will also act as a tutor in one of the school’s 15 boarding houses. Accommodation will be provided throughout the year.
The successful candidate will be tasked with designing and delivering a programme of dance, taught across the school week that caters for all students who have an interest in dance. There will be a significant dance show produced in Lent term to showcase this work as well as the opportunity to celebrate other work across the year. The other key focus will be choreographing the dance for the whole school musical.
