Croydon Vineyard Production Lead

8 hours a week (including 4 on Sunday mornings) Annual Salary: £38k pro-rata (0.2FTE) 11 months fixed term contract. Aug-Jun.

With the acquisition of No3 Old Palace Road, we want to employ an experienced sound engineer and Production Lead who can:

  1. Oversee contractors setting up sound and visuals for the auditorium ensuring the outcomes are high quality, on budget and on time.

  2. On a weekly basis help us hit a higher level of production in our worship services, making them highly appealing to the younger demographic of central Croydon

  3. Oversee the technology required for weekly live translation of our Central site services into multiple languages

  4. To help us set up, use and maximise a media room enabling a levelling up of our videography and audio content for website, podcasts, socials and Sunday video notices and testimonies.

  5. Help recruit and then train and coach volunteer tech teams for our other sites

Additional Details

As we acquire Old Palace and launch sites in new venues, we want the Production Lead to take responsibility for purchasing, installing / organising storage, coaching volunteer teams to use sound, visuals and videography equipment that support and advance our missional vision for each site. As well as Sunday / auditorium requirements, this will include the installation, establishment and management of a multi-media room at our Central Site for podcast recording, video & audio editing, mixing & mastering and song recording, to produce weekly content for social media, online platforms and Sunday service media assets. (Talk recording clips, new homegrown songs, New Testament Journey Podcast)

We would require the Production Lead to sound engineer twice a month at the Central Site Sunday services and to visit the South site Sunday service once a month to coach and train volunteer teams, troubleshoot and cast vision. We would also require the Production Lead to ensure that our big Invitational Services hit the highest level of excellence (Boxpark, Crossover, Easter, Baptisms)

This role will work collaboratively with the Worship Pastor and the Comms Manager, championing and responding to the direction of production and communication that is given by the Pastoral team.

About you

Essential:

  1. 3 years experience of sound engineering in a church / live music context

  2. Proven experience in videography, the purchase, installation and upkeep of sound, media and video equipment

  3. A willingness to support the mission of Croydon Vineyard, an evangelical charismatic christian church

  4. You have experience in, or are willing to learn how to train and coach volunteers

  5. You can physically attend No3 Old Palace for all of your working hours, including for 4 hours on Sunday mornings and on occasional evenings and can travel to our South Site once a month on Sunday mornings

Desireable:

  1. You are a Christian who has a passion for people encountering God in worship

  2. Familiar with Allen & Heath Mixing Consoles, ProPresenter 7 and Logic Pro X

  3. Have excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce results to professional standards

  4. Experience in mixing audio and video, both live and studio

  5. Experience in operating cameras and live-streaming
