Brass Band Week - #ThisIsBanding
Video Editing Brief
Background
Brass Band Week is a week-long celebration of all things brass banding, seeing hundreds of events take place across the country. As part of this national campaign, we are looking for a creative video editor to help us share the essence of brass banding in public-facing outdoor environments during the spring/summer season. The goal is to create a genuine, fun, emotive campaign that showcases brass bands as vibrant, inclusive and embedded into communities.
Project Overview and Scope of Work
As part of an engagement project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Brass Bands England is enhancing its annual Brass Band Week campaign with a campaign video and series of social media shorts to build public awareness of the joy of brass banding.
The scope of this contract is to create:
• A 60 second #ThisIsBanding campaign film for use on social media and our website
• x5 #ThisIsBanding edits (10-20 seconds) for a social media campaign
*Please note; this is not a brief for videography. We have captured a variety of professional footage at a range of events, and this will be available for you to use.
We are looking for an impactful campaign film that is dynamic, fast-moving and showcases brass band players and audiences in a range of settings. The outcome should recognise and showcase the diversity of brass banding, including highlighting intergenerational participants and audience. The Editor should recognise the Brass Band Week visual identity, as well as recognising our funders National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England in the outcome.
Recorded voiceover can be provided to support the visuals.
Timescale:
There is a short turnaround for this project, and final outcome would need to be delivered by Monday 15th June.
