Are you passionate about media, storytelling, and creating content that engages people online? This internship is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring creative to gain hands-on experience in media production, social media, and live event coverage with New Wine.

As a Creative Media Intern, you will help capture the energy of New Wine events and turn it into engaging digital content — from social media reels and festival stories to photography, design, and video editing. You’ll work closely with our MarComms team to create content seen by thousands of people across our network.

This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their creative skills in a fast-paced, faith-based environment while contributing to a collaborative team and gaining real experience across social media, design, and media production.

 Roles and Responsibilities

Content Creation & Social Media 

  • Support the day-to-day management of New Wine’s social media channels, helping ensure content is engaging and consistent across platforms.
  • Assist with social media activity across the festival cycle, including pre-festival build-up, live festival coverage, and post-festival engagement.
  • Write captions, schedule posts, manage tagging, and support story and reel creation.
  • Assist with monthly social media reviews, including analysing analytics and performance metrics.

Media Editing & Production 

  • Edit photos in Lightroom to maintain a consistent and high-quality visual style.
  • Assist with video editing, including cutting promotional videos, reels, and festival highlight content in collaboration with the MarComms team.
  • Apply colour grading and visual techniques to enhance storytelling in video content.
  • Support the editing and organisation of previous festival photos to align with current brand style.

Design & Creative Support 

  • Assist with graphic design tasks using Illustrator, helping to create social media assets and promotional content.
  • Support the preparation of visual assets including slides, screen graphics, and other creative materials used across events and communications.

Digital Content & Asset Management 

  • Maintain and update the creative media content plan.
  • Manage and organise creative assets in cloud storage systems.
  • Support data input tasks including website updates, Excel sheets, and app content management.

Festival Responsibilities 

During the New Wine Festival, the intern will work closely with the Design Lead to support the preparation and delivery of visual and digital content across the event. This includes:

  • Assisting with the preparation of visual assets used across festival venues and digital platforms, including speaker slides, rolling slides, screen graphics, and partner materials.
  • Assisting with event app updates and other digital content used during the festival.
  • Supporting the coordination and organisation of media assets captured during the festival.

Person Specification

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong relationship-building skills with experience in supporting and engaging volunteers and leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong creative eye.
  • Highly organised with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the organisation’s vision and a heart for engaging and inspiring young people through creative media.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a solutions-focused attitude.
  • Vision-driven and action-oriented, with a passion for achieving exceptional results.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and exercises a high level of discretion and wisdom.
  • Flexible team player, willing to adapt to change and face challenges head-on.
  • Strong understanding of photo and video editing, including colour grading, asset management, and trend research.
  • Confidence in creative decision-making and quick problem-solving skills.
  • Able to take initiative and follow tasks through to completion.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working within a church network, Christian organisation, or ministry environment.
  • Knowledge or experience using creative tools such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, DaVinci Resolve and Canva.
  • Knowledge of leadership development programmes and supporting leaders in a ministry context.
  • Experience in supporting events, including administration and participant engagement.
  • Experience in developing internal processes and media content strategies.
  • Familiarity with social media strategy, analytics, and campaign planning.
  • Strong ability to think innovatively and adapt to new digital trends.
  • Passion for assisting in social media growth and engagement.
  • A desire to pursue a career in media, marketing, design, communications, or creative services while gaining hands-on experience.
  • Interest in design, media production, marketing, or content creation.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited by 15 April to online interviews taking place between 16–21 April. Following the online interviews, shortlisted candidates will be invited to a second-stage in-person interview at our London office on 30 April.
