Creative Designer / Artist-Maker

We need your help!

Tanio is seeking a Creative Designer / Artist-Maker to design, create, and install a musical sculpture for an outdoor primary school setting.

Following a series of creative workshops with Year 3 and Year 4 pupils exploring music, forest‑arts‑inspired instruments, and nature‑based design, the children collaboratively developed the concept of a “Music Tree.”

We are looking for a designer/artist who can:

• Transform the children’s ideas into a safe, durable/sustainable, interactive musical sculpture.
• Design, build, and install the piece on the school site.
• Work within a 5‑week timeframeso the sculpture is completed before the end of the academic year. Unfortunately, we have been let down with a previous contractor, creating a short timeframe for this work to be completed, and we are grateful for your time and energy to help us meet this goal.
• Ensure the final piece is fully safe and accessiblefor primary-aged children.

Fee: £3,000 (to include all design, materials, fabrication, and installation)
