Crafts Group Leader
Salary: £9,865.80 per annum (FTE £26,426.25 based on 37.5 hours per week).
Hours: 14 per week. Working Pattern: Mondays, and a second day to be agreed, ideally Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
Based: Bishopthorpe, York, YO23 2RF.

We are seeking a creative individual to lead small groups of adults with learning disabilities, enabling them to develop skills and make high quality crafts for sale. We have an existing range of products that you will need to learn how to produce, and we are keen for you to bring new ideas too. We’re looking for an individual who can evidence their interest and experience in creating crafts, and ideally in supporting others to do so too. Examples of current craft activities the groups undertake take are:
- Creation of note cards and Christmas cards to sell in our shop.
- Designing book covers for notebooks to sell in our shop.
- Weaving
- Jewellery
- Dried flower crafts
- Creating greetings cards for staff members and our volunteers.
Our ideal candidates will be excellent at building relationships and empowering others. You will have experience of supporting people with a range of different skills and abilities.
