Who we are

Tyneside and Northumberland Mind are an independent, local charity that delivers

mental health services across the whole of Tyneside and Northumberland.

We exist to promote positive mental health, providing flexible, responsive and

sustainable support services to those in the Tyneside and Northumberland area.

We offer a range of services, including counselling, a listening service, wellbeing

groups and training based on the principals of wellbeing, recovery, resilience and

prevention.

Our Leadership Team ensures the direction and strategy set by our Board of Trustees is

Purpose of job
You will provide individual counselling (Tyneside and Northumberland Mind
Counselling Services) aimed at adults experiencing transient emotional and
mental health problems

Working on our counselling services in Gateshead.  Providing brief therapy
counselling of up to 6 sessions.  Working in our office based in
carrying   out face to face counselling sessions, telephone counselling and
telephone assessments.

You will contribute to the support and development of the Counselling team,
attend team meetings, line management meetings, and participate in clinical
supervision.

Where possible you should be available on Thursday afternoons to attend core
meetings, clinical supervision, CPD and to carry out work which supports a high
quality service.

Key Responsibilities

1.  Manage a diverse caseload of clients referred via GPs or self

2.  Conduct comprehensive telephone assessment to determine service

Person Specification
Essential Criteria

1.  A recognised professional qualification
level 5 or equivalent for example, BACP

to at least a Diploma/Foundation

16. Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing and the ability to
