Guildhall School of Music & Drama is committed to supporting students throughout their studies and providing high-quality wellbeing services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Counsellor to join our Student Services team.
As a professionally qualified counsellor, you will have experience of working within the higher education sector and supporting vulnerable students, ideally with an understanding of the particular needs of students undertaking intensive professional training in the performing arts. Most counselling is delivered on a one-to-one basis through a hybrid model, combining in-person and online provision.
You will bring a thorough understanding of higher education within a legislative, policy and practice framework and, working alongside fellow counsellors, will represent the Student Services Counselling team on relevant institutional, local and national networks.
Enhanced DBS clearance will be required for this role. Accreditation with, or eligibility for accreditation by, an appropriate professional counselling body is essential.
