We’re seeking a Cook at our Hospice in Turnchapel, where comforting, nutritious food is part of the home from home we lovingly create for our patients and their families.

It’s not just the superb medical care we give our patients that helps them feel as at ease as possible. At our specialist unit at Turnchapel, it’s about creating a welcoming haven, the ‘home from home’ they need so they can be themselves, get the most from every day and spend quality time with loved ones.

Could you be the Cook St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth is seeking to work with our friendly, talented Catering team as and when required? If you long use your catering experience in a more meaningful way and be in control of when and how much you work, this could just be your perfect role.

We are proud to have gained the 5-star standard from Environmental Health for our busy kitchen and Driftwood Café for patients, visitors and staff.

Being a Cook with our hospice is a catering job like no other, involving not just making delicious, nutritious meals for patients, but getting to know them and their dietary requirements, and creating tasty snacks for their visitors. Chances are you’ll turn your hand to food for special occasions, too, from weddings on the ward to anniversaries and date nights, making special memories for families at the toughest of times.

Working at the heart of our hospice, you will be part of a supportive team in a positive, uplifting environment in stunning surroundings.

To deliver and maintain the high standards of St Luke’s, our kitchen is staffed between 9am and 6.30pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This is covered on a set rota, so a degree of flexibility is required from the successful candidate.
