Overview
Location: Nuneaton (Office-based – with access to a company vehicle for site visits)
Salary: £35,000 – £56,000 per year
Employment Type: Self-employed
We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee and deliver projects across civil or mechanical disciplines in the water-based industry. The successful candidate will manage all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required standards. Travel across the UK is essential and occasional overnight stays may be a possibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Manage timelines, resources, and project budgets
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress updates
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams
- Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle
- Utilise tools including SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Project Server
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in construction project management
- Background in civil or mechanical construction (preferred)
- Experience managing water-based construction teams (preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to analyse requirements and present project updates
- Knowledge of project management best practices
Technical Requirements
- Microsoft Project: Minimum 2 years (preferred)
- SharePoint: Minimum 1 year (preferred)
