Volunteer Opportunity: Community Volunteer – School/Community Speaker Based in the East Midlands, with travel to local schools and initial training at our Nottingham office (G6 Ash Tree Court, Nottingham NG8 6PY)

Flexible time commitment (ad hoc with the expectation that you will have 1-2 engagements in a typical month)

Are you confident speaking in front of groups and passionate about inspiring young people and those within our community? We are looking for Community Volunteers to deliver talks in schools and to community groups.

This role would suit someone who enjoys presenting, engaging with different audiences, and making a difference to seriously ill children who need a wish.

About the Role

School and community engagement helps raise awareness and funds and inspires more people, including the next generation, to support our work.

As a Community Volunteer (School/Community Speaker), you will support us by assisting with:

• Delivering engaging, pre-prepared presentations in schools and community groups

Sharing the charity’s story and real wish experiences

Encouraging fundraising and awareness activities among pupils

Building positive relationships with school staff

• Representing the charity in a professional and inspiring way

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

Confident and comfortable speaking in front of groups

• Friendly, approachable, and engaging

• Passionate about supporting the work of the charity

Reliable and professional

Able to follow guidance and key messaging

• Experienced in working with young people (desirable but not essential)

Time Commitment

This role is flexible and based on school bookings. Ideally, you would be able to deliver 1-2 talks per month.
