About the role
We are looking to appoint a full-time, field-based Community Outreach Adviser to join our team, working at venues across South Holland.
With offices in Grantham, Spalding and Stamford, as well as outreach centres across the region, we support a population of 225,000 people. Last year, we helped 14,000 clients with over 60,000 issues and secured more than £7 million in additional income for them. We are here for everyone, helping people to move forward with their lives.
This is a new, peripatetic role funded through the Crisis & Resilience Fund. It is designed to make our advice services more accessible to local communities and to expand our outreach provision.
Full training will be provided; however, applicants must be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload, manage changing schedules, and adapt to the needs of different communities and venues.
Applicants should also be confident using IT systems.
The role requires someone who is confident working independently, using their initiative to manage outreach activity across multiple locations. You will need to build and maintain positive relationships with community partners and venue providers and represent the organisation professionally within the local community.
A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are essential for this role.
