About the role:
The Hub Support Worker provides practical and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Health & Wellbeing Hub.
Working under the direction of the Community Hub Coordinator, the postholder will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment, support events and activities, assist community members accessing the hub, and undertake general administrative and facilities-related tasks.
The role is key in ensuring the hub remains accessible, inclusive and responsive to the needs of the local community.
What you'll do:
- Open and close the hub in line with procedures.
- Ensure rooms and communal areas are clean, tidy, safe and set up appropriately for daily use.
- Assist with room set-ups and clear-downs for activities, meetings and events.
- Carry out basic health and safety checks and report maintenance or repair issues to the Co-ordinator.
- Monitor stock levels of supplies and inform the Co-ordinator when replenishment is required.
- Provide on-the-day support for workshops, community activities and partner-led sessions.
- Welcome facilitators and community groups and ensure they are oriented to the space.
- Act as a visible and approachable point of contact during activities.
- Support attendance monitoring and feedback collection.
What you'll need to succeed in the role;
- Good general level of education
- Good organisational and ability to prioritise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide a welcoming and inclusive front of house support
