About the role
MAP is seeking to hire a community health worker to support disease surveillance efforts by actively monitoring and reporting on the prevalence of communicable diseases within communities in Gaza. Following training on the Early Warning, Alert and Response System (EWARS), the CHW will be responsible for collecting and recording data related to various health indicators through the designated mobile application. This role supports the overall improvement of community health outcomes.
About You
The ideal candidate will support the implementation of MAP’s Disease Surveillance Assessment in Gaza, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting using EWARS and established protocols, while maintaining strong coordination with community members and key stakeholders. The candidate should have a background in health or a related field, solid experience in community health and data collection—preferably within humanitarian settings—and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills in both Arabic and English, with proficiency in electronic data collection tools and MS Office.
