Overall purpose of the role:
Do you have exceptional attention to detail and a passion for supporting people? Are you looking to build your experience in customer service, events and fundraising within a much‑loved local charity?
If so, Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Community & Events Fundraising Assistant to join our Community & Events Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while helping to enhance the world‑class care provided at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
In this vital role, you will support the delivery of our community and events fundraising activities by providing excellent donor care and high‑quality administrative support. You’ll be the first point of contact for a wide range of supporters, from challenge event participants and community groups to schools and volunteers ensuring they receive the guidance, materials, and encouragement they need. You will also play a key part in managing event data, maintaining accurate CRM records, and supporting the team to achieve annual income targets.
Your responsibilities will be varied and rewarding. You will assist with event logistics, attend cheque presentations and assemblies on behalf of the Charity, help coordinate volunteer activity, and represent us at community events including occasional weekend or evening work.
With effective communication, organisation and time‑management skills, you will help ensure our fundraising events run smoothly and our supporters feel valued every step of the way.
We are looking for someone who is outgoing, well organised, and confident building relationships at all levels. You will bring excellent administrative skills, a positive and solution‑focused approach, and a genuine passion for our mission. Experience in fundraising, events, the charity sector, or sales is desirable but not essential. We are more interested in your drive, enthusiasm, and commitment to delivering great supporter experiences.
If you’re ready to make a real difference while growing your career, we would love to hear from you.
