Description
Community Engagement Manager
Do you have experience of developing and supporting community groups?
Would you like to combine this with helping communities take practical action on the climate crisis?
We have an exciting opportunity to work with communities of all types across the Winchester area to share ideas and help them implement impactful projects that are a meaningful response to the climate crisis
We need someone to manage and develop the innovative Winchester Climate Action Network (WeCAN) project, which over the past five years has become a strong, sustainable, sharing and learning network of over 15 local climate action groups.
Demonstrating your commitment to combating the climate crisis and knowledge of what will have the most impact is of course essential. We also seek experience of working in partnerships, alongside communities, and organising projects.
We need someone who feels confident and comfortable in taking initiative, as well as working with others, including volunteers.
This is a part-time position, averaging 22 hours per week. Due to the nature of the work this will include some evenings and weekends as routine. Access to own transport is essential.
