Community Engagement and Development Worker
BHA is a leading health and social care charity that works to challenge health inequalities and support individuals, families and communities to improve their health and well-being. BHA are seeking a passionate and motivated Community Engagement & Development Worker, committed to improving the sexual health outcomes for Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority communities. You will be joining a friendly, creative, and dedicated collaborative team who are determined to reduce sexual health inequalities and challenge HIV related stigma and discrimination.Overview of the area of work:
- Develop and deliver community engagement initiatives and sexual health promotion interventions.
- Raise awareness of sexual and reproductive health issues (via digital and community-based engagement).
- Ensure people from all communities can access HIV testing and other prevention tools so that no-one is left behind.
- Provide culturally appropriate information and advice suitable and accessible for a wide range of communities with complex needs aimed at improving knowledge, confidence and influencing behaviour.
Contract type: Fixed term until 30 June 2027 with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
