We want to expand the SWYM community to those not able to take part in full timestudy, to those who share in our vision of reaching children and young people across the SouthWest with the good news of Jesus! We want to offer community, companionship, coaching and collaboration to support thoseworking with children and young people across the region. This role will consult with formertrainees and workers across the region to explore what could be offered to churches andindividuals in the future. We have launched a range of resources in January 2026 to provide 360º support for children,youth and families workers across the region with 86 members joining for 2026 after asuccesful pilot year in 2025. Find out more: www.swym.org.uk/360JOB INFORMATION PACKEssential:A genuine passion for Jesus and making himknown in children and young people’s lives;Excellent pastoral and relational skills withyouth/children/families workers;Ability to encourage, challenge and supportothers in their discipleship journey, includingfacilitating theological reflection on ministrypractice;Ability to work independently and as part of ateam;Ability to work to set deadlines;Ability to be self-motivated and set own targets; Ability to develop new relationships withworkers and church leaders across the SouthWest and experience of working with diversecommunities;Experience of delivering presentations andexcellent communication skills;Experience of developing projects from conceptto reality.Desirable:Experience of developing resources includingusing apps, design software such as Canva andSocial Media;Knowledge of applicable legislation, includingSafeguarding, Health and Safety, GDPR,inclusion of young people;Full UK Driving Licence.An occupational requirement exists for the post-holder to be a practising Christian in accordance withthe Equality Act 2010.We are looking for someone with a passion for children/youth and families work and developing/supporting leaders in this area of ministry. The successful candidate must have extensive experiencein youth and/or children and families ministry. THE PERSONJOB INFORMATION PACKTHE ROLETo develop supportive relationships with 360Community Members:To seek to encourage and help to build a senseof community with the cohort through in personand online interactions.To work as part of a team in delivering the 360Community resources for workers across the SW:To help to plan and deliver the Annual Retreat;To lead one call to prayer gathering each week;To oversea Small Groups, making sure all thosewanting to are part of a small group, beingresponsible for resources for small groups andgathering feedback and developing theseresources in the future;To deliver Annual Conversations with theDiscipleship & Community DevelopmentManager - this will involve visiting communitymembers with their line managers to facilitatethese conversations and completerecommendations;To take a lead on Coaching resource. This willinvolve developing a bank of coaches andhelping to link coaches up with communitymembers when required;To support Discipleship & CommunityDevelopment Manager with an AnnualPilgrimage, Learning Communities, LineManagement resources and date setting for year.To promote 360 Community across the region: To work with the 360 Community Team andSWYM director to promote the programme withdenominations and at children, youth & familiesworker events in the region and beyond.JOB INFORMATION PACKSalary:£12,000 p.a. (£30k FTE)Contract:Initial 16 month contract which we hope to extendHours:16 hours a weekLocation:There is flexibility for some home working but with a minimum of a day afortnight based at the SWYM Office, Unit 10E, Mill Park Industrial Estate,Woodbury Salterton, EX5 1EL. The role will require attendance at 360 Retreat, facilitating AnnualConversations and meetings around the region.
