We are seeking to appoint a creative and motivated Communications & Content professional to join our Marketing and Admissions team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident communicator with a passion for storytelling, content creation and digital media. This is a key role in shaping and elevating the voice of the school both nationally and internationally.
You will combine strong editorial judgement with creativity and digital expertise, alongside the ability and enthusiasm to use AI tools to enhance content creation, efficiency and impact.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Admissions, you will contribute to how the school is seen and heard by families, staff, alumni, media and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Produce, edit and proofread high quality, engaging content across digital platforms and printed publications, including website articles, social media, newsletters, magazines, brochures and marketing materials
- Proactively identify and develop stories that showcase the school’s achievements, culture and values
- Adapt content for a range of audiences, including prospective families, parents, pupils, staff, alumni and the wider community
- Support the production of major publications, including the school’s annual magazine
Digital, Brand & Engagement
- Support the development of the school’s digital presence across website and social media platforms
- Ensure consistency in brand, tone of voice and visual identity across all communications
- Assist in the creation of multimedia content, including photography, video and graphics
- Contribute to internal communications to ensure clarity and consistency across the school
AI & Content Innovation
- Use AI tools to support content creation, editing, summarisation and idea generation
- Integrate AI into workflows to improve efficiency and scale content production
- Apply AI-driven insights to enhance engagement, SEO and content performance
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and support their responsible and ethical use
Marketing & Campaign Support
- Support the delivery of integrated marketing and communications campaigns aligned with the school’s strategic objectives
- Contribute to SEO, GEO, digital marketing and email campaigns, including newsletters and marketing automation
- Monitor performance and engagement metrics, using insights to inform improvements
- Support communications for key events such as Open Days, Founderstide and other school initiatives
About You:

This is a hands-on content role, focused on producing high quality, engaging communications across digital and print channels that bringing the school’s story to life through compelling, authentic content.
We are seeking someone who is confident, highly organised and able to produce clear, compelling communication across a range of print and digital formats. You will be a strong writer with excellent attention to detail, a creative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
You will also be comfortable working at pace, taking a proactive approach, and using AI tools to enhance both creativity and efficiency with a commitment to learning and staying up to date with the latest developments in marketing.
Essential
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in communications, marketing, journalism, English or a related field
- 2-5 years experience in communications, marketing, PR, journalism, English or a related field. Through either industry experience, University study or a combination of the two
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience producing content across digital platforms and printed publications
- Strong digital capability, including social media and content management systems
- Demonstrable experience using AI tools in a professional context
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience within the education or independent school sector
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with analytics and performance tracking tools
- Knowledge of media relations and crisis communications
- Photography, videography or multimedia editing skills
- Understanding of SEO, GEO and digital marketing best practices
