You’ll be ideally based in Dorset, enabling weekly travel to our sites in Wareham, Weymouth and Ferndown. This is a hybrid role, so we would expect that you can base yourself from home as the work allows, knowing that travel will be required across our sites.

In role you will be responsible for a portfolio of workplaces, whether it's health and safety, contract coordination, landlord engagement, or helping commercial tenants and colleagues get the most out of their day you’ll be right at the heart of it all.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a friendly and collaborative team, with wider links across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon, and Cornwall.

You will see yourself as a practical, safe pair of hands, with the right experience for the role. You will have sight of the bigger picture and will be equally happy having a one on one conversation with a colleague regarding a failing piece of equipment or talking to senior leaders regarding the purchase of a new IT system to support the team.

You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, but also a great team player who can collaborate across departments and regions ensuring consistency in all you do across the wider team.

Essential skills & experience: (you will be shortlisted based on the below, so please reference this in your application)

  • Proven experience in estates, facilities and property management, or a related field for a demonstrated period.
  • Strong People Leader, providing support, coaching and communications to support individuals to fulfil their potential within our team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator and at ease with stakeholder engagement at all levels.
  • Experience working within and feeding into the creation of budgets, evidencing VFM in all you do.
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and respond quickly to changing demands
  • Effective problem solver, solution orientated, able to manage projects to time, to cost and in line with the team’s objectives.
  • A full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle for work purposes and willingness to travel across the portfolio.
  • Ability to identify and move forward areas of evolution within the team processes and systems.

You will be responsible for the estate and facilities management service and health and safety compliance. Our workplaces are a mixture of hub and spoke offices, operational yards s and scheme hub offices. Team responsibility will be for both hard and soft service contracts.

Suitable candidates for the role will hold the following –

  • A Degree qualification in a relevant subject
  • IWFM Qualification Level 4 or higher
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Evidence of continual personal development

You won’t be phased that your portfolio is spread across a wide geographic area and you’ll work with the team to quickly understand the requirements within your regions and what the future plans are.

You’ll be able to quickly build relationships with the team and the wider business, creating strong relationships with all stakeholders. You’ll be confident with your communication style and will be happy to sell the journey that we will be taking.
