As part of our National Lottery Heritage Funded A Stitch in Time project, the Framework Knitters Museum is now seeking an experienced Collections Consultant to initiate a structured collections review and develop a collections plan for the Museum.
Working alongside the Museum Manager, staff and volunteers, this role will ensure a greater understanding of the collection’s potential, condition, and significance.
The Collections Consultant will support with training in the collections management system, MODES, and work with volunteers to help manage the collection, enabling a prioritised preservation plan to be created.

Total Fee payable: £4,000. This figure should include all associated costs including travel and expenses. Please note that VAT is not included in the fee amount, but the Museum can reclaim any VAT charged.
Work will be completed within the timeframe between 13 April and 31 July 2026, following the schedule as outlined in the timetable submitted as part of consultancy application.
