Salary: £51,225 - £58,617 FTE DOE
Hours: 30 hours per week

MAIN PURPOSE
To provide robust and effective leadership to a specialised therapy team. The post will support the Senior Management Team in the delivery of services, quality improvement, and clinical governance.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- This role carries line management responsibility for members of the AHP team.
- The post holder will form part of the service management team.
- The post holder is expected to foster good relationships and work closely with multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external
- Responsible for working alongside and/or supporting volunteers within their team.
- Responsible to maintain robust communication networks with the Head of Clinical Services and Service Director and other agencies and professions.
- Responsible to develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.
- The post holder is expected to represent Briankind at meetings/forums as required.
- Proven experience of working in an appropriate service across healthcare settings.
- Demonstrable experience of evidence-based practice, research, audit, and outcome measures
- Highly specialist knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning.
- Evidence of managing a team of staff including setting objectives, appraisal, recruitment, and disciplinary issues
- An ability to work autonomously and to set own and service priorities, providing guidance and objectives for the team.
- An ability to confidently assess and manage risk in relation to therapist/therapy service performance.
- An ability to organise, co-ordinate and respond efficiently to complex information.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice
About You
- BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy
- Registered with Health and Care Professionals Council
- Current registration with Professional Body (RCOT/CSP) if appropriate
- Relevant post-registration training and experience and relevant leadership experience and training in a health/social care setting
- Member of an appropriate Professional Specialist Interest Group is desirable.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
