At Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, we provide specialist care and vital support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Clinical Educator to help shape, inspire and develop our care workforce— ensuring every child and family receives the highest standard of care.
About the role
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to combine clinical practice with education and development.
You will:
• Lead and support a culture of continuous learning across the hospice
• Deliver and develop high-quality clinical training and education programmes
• Support staff to build and maintain clinical competence
• Coordinate student nurse placements and preceptorship programmes
• Work collaboratively with external partners to promote children’s palliative care
• Spend part of your time in clinical practice, maintaining your own skills and expertise
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
• A registered children’s nurse with significant post-registration experience
• Experienced in caring for children with complex or life-limiting conditions
• Passionate about education, development and supporting others to grow
• A confident communicator with strong teaching and facilitation skills
• Committed to high-quality, family-centred care
Experience in practice education, student supervision, or delivering training is highly desirable.
