Chai Cancer Care Client Services Manager Job Description

Reports to: Head of Client Services

Location: Hendon

Full time role: Monday to Thursday 9.00am-5.30pm, Friday 9.00am-1.30pm

Overview

Based at Chai’s Hendon Centre, the Client Services Manager (CSM) is responsible for ensuring that all clients have access to appropriate Chai services as required. This is a busy, varied role that requires excellent organisational and communication skills, sensitivity when dealing with clients, and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities include:

• Undertaking initial introduction to services with new clients

• Agreeing and organising service provision for clients

• Regularly reviewing clients’ service provision and ensuring that clients receive appropriate services

Liaising with therapists and counsellors to ensure that issues related to their clients are dealt with

• Regularly reviewing the maintenance of effective client records

Allocating new clients to counsellors and therapists and ensuring that all clients are adequately tracked and followed up

• Updating the client database

• Working on the continued development, innovation and improvement of clients’ access to services

Supporting all areas of the organisation where required, including but not limited to, key events throughout the calendar year

• Attending all compulsory training, meeting and supervision opportunities as required

• Chai operates multi-site services therefore there may be some travel to other sites

Undertaking any other duties relevant to the post as required by the Chief Executive and Head of Client Services

Person Specification:

• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed

• Strong administrative and IT skills, including experience using databases and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and professional telephone manner

• Empathetic and sensitive when engaging with clients and their families

• Reliable, proactive and flexible in approach

• Awareness of data protection principles and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
