Cleaner

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable cleaner to join our team. Working across both our residential hostel, our busy day centre and offices you will play a vital role in providing a clean, safe, and dignified environment for our residents, service users and staff.

This is a rewarding position for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to make a tangible difference to the most vulnerable in our community.

Main duties:

• Daily cleaning:Thorough cleaning of communal areas and offices.
• Sanitisation:Deep cleaning of shared bathrooms and toilets to high hygiene standards.
• Room turnovers:Preparing residents’ rooms for new arrivals (deep cleans and basic linen changes).
• Safety:Safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Reporting:Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards.

What we are looking for:

• Experience:Previous professional cleaning experience is essential.
• Knowledge:An understanding ofCOSHH(Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and general Health & Safety.
• Character:A non-judgmental, patient and respectful approach to working alongside vulnerable adults.
• Reliability:Excellent timekeeping and the ability to manage a busy daily schedule.
