Pupils of all abilities achieve high standards across the curriculum and makeexcellent progress from their different starting points. By the end of Year 6, the largemajority of pupils are achieving, on average, two years ahead of their chronological agein both mathematics and English. In reading, gains made throughout their journeymeans that the average Year 6 child has an average reading age of 6 years above theirchronological age on leaving Manor Lodge. The inspectors noted that, ‘Pupils lovelearning; they have highly positive attitudes fostered by a rich and challenging indoorand outdoor curriculum and a wide range of enrichment opportunities.’ Our childrenare extremely successful in gaining entrance to highly competitive senior independentand state schools, with a large proportion being awarded scholarships. To support the school’s commitment on safeguarding children in all aspects of theprovision including their health and safety at all times and paying due regard torelevant risk assessments. Refer to the medium and long term plans and daily observations when planning ageappropriate lessons and mark work in accordance with the school’s marking policy. To support the team to monitor and evaluate children's learning through a range ofassessment and monitoring strategies. To provide objective and accurate feedback and reports for parents and otherprofessionals on children’s achievements, progress and related matters. To develop positive and sensitive relationships with parents and carers to supporttheir role in children's learning. To attend weekly staff meetings and planning meeting and any other meetingconcerned with the welfare of any member of their class or participate in smallerworking groups when requested. To be proactive in the continuation of your own training opportunities andperformance development to improve the outcomes for children and their families. To have a clear knowledge of and adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations. Attend assemblies and school functions, playing an active part in the wider aspects ofschool life. To organise and run an extra curricular club. To attend Parent Consultation Evenings and be prepared to communicate withparents individually as and when the need arises.Staff are expected to keep a record of these communications. Depending on thetype of communication, the Senior Management Team should be kept informedof such contact. They, in turn, will inform the Head Teacher of any necessaryactions to be taken.
