The Traverse Theatre is looking for an experienced Co-ordinator & Director for its flagship Class Act programme to oversee the delivery of the project and provide effective leadership and efficient project management.
Typical duties include:
- Provide creative leadership and overall artistic direction for Class Act
- Project manage and oversee all aspects of producing Class Act
- Be responsible for the admin functions, including contracting artists, scheduling etc
- Train and provide line management to key freelance facilitators and artists
- Act as Safeguarding lead on the project
- Co-ordinate publication of Class Act play texts.
- Curate the final performance schedule and act as Director to Class Act productions.
- Manage the process and record-keeping of evaluation of Class Act
- Collaborate with relevant team members in completion of funding applications for Class Act.
Our ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and leader with excellent time management and experience of managing a creative team. You should also have experience of directing for the stage and in developing and directing new writing. With sound knowledge of Safeguarding and Wellbeing you should also have experience of working with young people and/or vulnerable adults. You should also be able to demonstrate your skills in budget management, communication and contracting. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months. Hours are annualised, totalling approximately 100 days per annum. Rate of pay is £16.50 per hour. Annual leave entitlement is equivalent to 32 days per annum, calculated pro-rata. The Traverse operates an auto-enrolment pension scheme with matched contributions at 4%.
