Church Administrator
This is a part-time role supporting the Pastor and organising all church events and rotas.
Details:
Hours: Part-time, 15 hours per week.
Location: Christ Church Fareham, Cams Hill School, Shearwater Ave, Portchester, Fareham PO16 8AH and Christ Church Fareham Office, 1c The High Street, PO16 7AG.
Salary: Negotiable.
Start date: 1 September 2026 or as soon as possible.
Job Description:
Managing the operations for all Church Activities.

Ensuring all venues are booked well in advance.

Owning and managing the Church calendar for Staff, Elders and Trustees.

Ensuring Church rotas are written well in advance and managed and communicated effectively by Team Leaders.

Recording key information from each activity, including cash gifts, attendances and songs played each Sunday for CCLI Reporting.

Ensuring every event has an appropriate risk assessment.

Planning key events/projects.

Supporting the treasurer with the preparation of Church Accounts.

Paying bills and invoices.
Owning Church Communication of Events.

Ensuring the website events list is always up to date.

Preparing a weekly email, including sermon video editing and upload.

Preparing monthly newsletter.

Owning the Welcome Table to ensure all literature is well stocked and we are effectively delivering the crucial notices each week.

Owning the contact details for Church members and visitors in a GDPR-compliant way.

Managing creative people in the Church, so marketing and flyers are printed in advance of big events.

Managing the Church's social media profiles.
About You
They are looking for someone who:

Is a committed Christian faith (essential).

High level of attention to detail (essential).

Team player & experience working with volunteers (essential).

Strong project-management skills, including strategic planning, working to deadlines, priority setting, and the ability to multitask (essential).

Experience of organising events (essential).

High level of computer literacy, able to use MS Word, MS Excel, Church-Management Software, and emailing software (essential).

Ability to respond to enquiries in an appropriate, professional and, where necessary, Christian pastoral manner (essential).

Experience of managing and editing websites, social media, etc (desirable).
The right applicant will need to relocate to Fareham and become a member of Christ Church Fareham. We are a growing church, gathering around 100 people each Sunday.
