PERSON SPECIFICATION JOB TITLE: Children’s Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner (Time to Be Me) REQUIREMENT ESSENTIAL/ DESIRABLE 1. Knowledge/Qualifications • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths. Essential • Awareness of factors impacting on and issues facing vulnerable children and young people and families (e.g. disadvantage, poverty, disability). Essential • Knowledge of child/young people’s development. • Knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. • Knowledge of legislation relevant to service aims. • Qualification or experience with Play, Art or Drama Therapy or counselling. 2. Experience Essential Essential Essential Desirable • Experience of direct work with children, young people and families. Essential • Experience of applying safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures. • Experience of project planning, monitoring and evaluation in job role 3.
