Children's and Families Worker
We are a United Benefice of Anglican Evangelical churches who are praying for a committed Christian with some experience in a Bible-based ministry, to join us in making disciples amongst young people. Familiarity with an Anglican Evangelical church would be an advantage. A servant heart and a vision for mission are essential.
Our priority is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. To this end we have an existing Sunday School, regular assemblies at our three church schools and one community high school, a school lunchtime club, and two afterschool clubs. We also run a Parent and Toddler group. A job description and application form are available on request.
We offer a contract subject to a probationary period of six months. The post is initially for 24h/week with salary ca. £27k/annum FTE (pro rata £16,576) depending on qualifications and experience. In addition we cover the cost of a study/training course provided either by Growing Young Disciples or the Midlands Ministry Training Course. There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practising Christian (Equality Act 2010). The post is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate will work within the Safeguarding Policy of the Diocese of Lichfield of which the Benefice is a part.
For an informal conversation please contact Rev. Paul Kingman [Tel: 01785 812669; e-mail paul.kingman@christchurchstone.org] to discuss the post and request an application pack. Closing date Sunday 27th September 2026 with an interview in early October.
