The purpose of this role is to provide high‑quality, child‑centred day‑to‑day support that respects each child’s views, wishes, and individuality. You’ll create safe, supportive environments where children feel listened to, valued, and supported to develop independence, confidence, and life skills.
Support is delivered in the community and home settings and includes helping children access education, build daily living skills, and take part in meaningful activities. These may include trips out in the community, social and recreational activities, as well as in‑house activities such as sensory play, arts and crafts.
Some children access 24‑hour overnight support, so the role may include supporting with personal care, medication, and wellbeing needs. Full training will be provided.

- Supporting daily living tasks including personal care, meals, medication, and routines
- Promoting independence and skill development
- Supporting children to access their local community and social opportunities
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and professionals
- Keeping accurate records and following safeguarding, health & safety, and care procedures
- Working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
Support is provided across a 7‑day rota, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
What We’re Looking For
- A caring, patient, and child‑focused approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability, resilience, and flexibility
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
A Level 3 Childcare qualification is desirable, or a willingness to work towards one.
