A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join and help develop the CYP provision delivering Cranstoun’s Level Up programme across the Barnsley region.

The service is expanding and has been awarded funding to provide interventions on a 1-1 basis to 11 to 15 year olds where there has been an identified need. This includes the child or young person displaying aggressive, controlling or abusive behaviours.

This could be behaviour displayed to parents/guardians, siblings or partners.

As a CYP intervention worker you will be required to process and assess referrals and then deliver a structured intervention on a 1-1 basis based around our “Level up” programme.

The programme takes an holistic approach to recognising healthy and respectful relationships whilst identifying and building on the strengths and skills the young person already possesses.

We are looking for motivated practitioners who either have experience of working with Domestic Abuse or Children/Young people and would like to develop skills in this area.

As a CYP intervention worker you will deliver briefings and training to parentship agencies who you will be working alongside. Experience of working on behaviour change programmes, delivering training and community work would be advantageous.

Due to the nature and context of the work, having the particular protected characteristic is an occupational requirement and the application of the requirement is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim.

Post holder will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check against relevant barred lists
