Children and Families Worker
We are seeking an innovative and creative Children and Families Worker to continue our ministry with and discipleship of children and families within our parish.
We have made a firm commitment to being the outward face of the church in the community and to take the Gospel out into the world rather than expecting those who are not familiar with church to come to us. We are particularly keen to engage with new families moving into the parish as a result of the building and regeneration programme which will continue for some years ahead. We believe that we are being led by the Holy Spirit to look outwards and to explore how we might best meet both the spiritual and physical needs of those who do not yet know Jesus.
We are looking for someone who is willing and able to:
Develop ways of engaging effectively with the 0-11 age group in the local community, particularly through increasing the existing links with the four local primary schools.
Work alongside families to foster a culture of discipleship at the heart of every home.
Grow and develop teams of volunteers to deliver all aspects of the Children’s and Families ministry.
Work collaboratively with the Vicar / Focal Minister and PCC.
Work well as part of a team.
The Parish of St Andrew’s with Holy Cross is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. The Children and Families Worker, as with all our post holders and volunteers, will be expected to be committed to this culture of safeguarding.
Salary £26,875 to £29,375 (FTE) pro-rata. Actual salary for 16 hours a week £10,750 to £11,750, depending on experience and agreed hours
