Children and Families Minister
St Andrew's, Headington seeks a proactive, relational Children & Families Minister to nurture children’s spirituality and faith. This is a rare opportunity to shape and grow our ministry to children and families within the modern catholic tradition.
The new minister (lay or ordained) will build and develop our existing ministries, including a flourishing young church with 12–20 children attending each Sunday. We take children's spirituality seriously and are looking for someone equally committed to fostering children’s spirituality and faith.
We are an inclusive church and our worship is centred on the Eucharist. The beauty of our sacramental worship reflects the overwhelming beauty of God's love for us, bringing God's holiness into our midst. We are looking for someone who finds this approach to worship nurturing to their own faith and vocation.
We are looking for a minister who:
-
has experience working with children (voluntary or paid)
-
can engage confidently with children, especially in the early years
-
can foster a consistent, calm, and contemplative space for children to explore and express their spirituality and faith
-
has strong organisational and communication skills
-
can work independently and manage their own workload.
This is a part-time post of 16 hours per week, with flexible working hours (including Sunday mornings). The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
