Job Function and Purpose:
Working as part of a team that delivers a seasonal menu by helping to prepare delicious food for public, private and corporate clients. Be compliant with company guidelines to ensure that appropriate quality, brand and safety standards are always met. Deliver best practice in food and personal hygiene ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and the Organisation's Food Safety System
Main duties and responsibilities

To prepare and produce high quality and delicious food for public, private and corporate clients.

To demonstrate best practice by applying Brand Standards to deliver excellent service.

To ensure that all services are delivered to the Company’s standards, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

To contribute to each shift by communicating effectively towards the achievement of individual, team and company objectives.

To aid development in the café and its offer to encourage new and repeat visits, create upselling opportunities and drive sales.

To participate in the delivery of public, private and commercial events.

To complete ancillary tasks to support the smooth running of the kitchen, including managing deliveries and stock, cleaning, completing relevant paperwork and recording non-conformities.

To feel empowered to ask for additional training or support if needed and it’s in the company’s best interest.

To deliver best practice in food safety and personal hygiene ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and the Organisation's Food Safety System, including all checks, record keeping and reporting as required.

To ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, and statutory requirements, including Food Safety, Health and Safety, HACCP, COSHH. Actively support and contribute to the ongoing development of these and other systems, and the culture which recognises their importance.

To contribute the Company’s environmental ideals, leading by example and demonstrating best practice in reducing the use of water, energy and other resources; minimising wastage; recycling and managing waste responsibly.

To be a Fire Warden (once trained).

To develop a good understanding of the Forest of Marston Vale Trust and its work.

To promote the Forest of Marston Vale and represent the interests of the Forest of Marston Vale Trust and its subsidiaries – be an ambassador for the Forest.

To undertake duties of a similar level and responsibility as and when required, in accordance with delivering the aims and objectives of the Forest of Marston Vale Trust.

To apply all policies and procedures of the Trust and its subsidiaries, including those relating to Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities.

To take a positive role in relation to Customer Care and Quality Programmes and actively foster good public relations.

To manage resources in a responsible manner to effectively deliver agreed duties and responsibilities
