Overview

Experienced Chef required to work in University Hotel with occasional cover for other restaurants and cafes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparation and cooking of Bistro style food for Hotel guests.

  • Experienced to work independently on quite shifts and as part of a team at busier times and for event catering.

  • Maintain food safety and allergen management in line with food policy and best practise.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Level 2 food hygiene qualification
  • Allergen awareness training
  • Professional cookery qualifications to a minimum city & guilds 706/2 or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Health & safety regulations relating to catering.
  • Ability to work flexibly on evening and weekends.
  • Computer literate, willing to learn the use of IT systems for bookings information and stock ordering.
