JOB PURPOSE

The Programme Assistant provides comprehensive financial coordination, administrative and operational support across the I&T, Finance and Legal teams within the CFO directorate. This role helps ensure the smooth functioning of the directorate's systems, processes and workflows, enabling teams to deliver on organisational priorities.

This is a part-time role, working 17.5 hours per week.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders for I&T, Finance and Legal teams; liaise with suppliers and Accounts Payable; ensure timely and compliant invoice processing.
  • Set up RAM (Resource Allocation Mechanism) and FIF (Fundraising Investment Fund) payment tranches; coordinate emergency payments as required.
  • Support year-end financial processes, including ensuring correct financial year-end financial processes, including ensuring correct financial year allocations.‑

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in financial administration, including raising purchase requisitions, purchase orders and processing invoices.
  • Clear, concise and diplomatic communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to plan and manage workload independently, including under time pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet agreed deadlines.
