AYO Fern

Centre Manager

  • Part Time

The AYO Fern Partnership is a new collaboration between Locorum Ltd, Oasis Care and Support, two established Black-led social enterprises and the University of Huddersfield working to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for African, Caribbean and Mixed Heritage communities and The University of Huddersfield.

Together, the partnership is launching a new community health and wellbeing programme based in Huddersfield, with activity centred at Bradley Park Community Centre and St John’s Resource Centre. The programme aims to address persistent health inequalities by working closely with residents, community organisations, health services and local partners.

As this is a new partnership and a new programme, we are building a team who will play a key role in shaping how the work develops. The people appointed to these roles will help establish partnerships, develop community-led activities and contribute to building a strong foundation for a programme designed to strengthen community wellbeing and support long-term positive change for residents in Huddersfield.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about community empowerment, partnership working and improving health outcomes, and who want to help develop an ambitious programme of work that makes a real difference in local communities. The Ayo Fern Partnership programme is supported through funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
