Job Overview

Our client is a long-established CCTV and drain cleaning company with over 30 years’ experience, based just off the M74 in Blantyre. They are looking to recruit an experienced CCTV Drainage Engineer to join their team providing their services to various sectors including Construction, Facilities Management, Manufacturing, Local Councils, House Builders, NHS Trusts, Utilities and Infrastructure.

This is a permanent role which involves carrying out CCTV survey inspections, identifying defects and producing accurate detailed reports. You should have a strong problem-solving ability and be able to identify opportunities for further works (cleaning, no dig/patch repairs), estimate for remedial works where required and undertake patch repairs to defective pipelines.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Key Tasks

  • Carry out CCTV inspections of a wide range of drainage and sewer networks as part of a skilled operational team.
  • Accurately code defects using specialist software.
  • Complete and submit detailed and accurate reports for customers that outline the condition of their drainage systems and identify appropriate remedial actions.
  • Undertake patch lining repairs.
  • Effectively multitask and problem-solve to come up with solutions to unexpected problems which may arise in a varied working environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Establish & maintain a good working relationship with customers.
  • Take responsibility for the survey vehicle, ensuring the equipment and vehicle is properly maintained, inspected, and kept clean.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience etc

  • Computer literate with the ability to utilise various workforce Apps.
  • Proven experience operating CCTV drainage inspection equipment & reporting (Win-can).
  • Proven no-dig experience – patch lining experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of the operation & maintenance of the equipment with the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise.
  • OS19X:Pipe Sewer Condition Classification and/or OS24 Drain & Sewer Inspection qualification would be preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when identifying defects and completing reports.
  • Ability to adapt to different working environments and site conditions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
  • Willingness to undertake any other reasonable duties

Qualifications/Tickets/Licences Required

  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
  • CSCS card preferred
  • Confined Space Entry Certification
  • Right to Work in the UK
