and events, helping to ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional day out — whether they’re
grabbing lunch, browsing the gift shop, or celebrating a wedding at the zoo.

environments, and wants to grow their skills across multiple areas.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work across a wide mix of activities, including:

  Delivering safe, efficient and hygienic food & beverage service
  Preparing and presenting food to a high standard
  Handling cash and card payments confidently and accurately
  Providing warm, friendly customer service and helping with visitor queries
  Keeping dining and retail spaces clean, welcoming and well-organised
  Supporting events — from conferences to weddings to parties
  Working flexibly across the department depending on daily needs
  Taking on additional reasonable duties to support the wider zoo team

What We’re Looking For

You’ll shine in this role if you have:

  Experience in a food, beverage or catering environment
  Have a catering qualification or looking to develop your skills
  Great customer service skills and a positive attitude
  Strong communication and people skills
  Ability to work calmly under pressure
  Good time-management and a strong work ethic
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  Weekend and evening availability
  Experience using EPOS (or willingness to learn)
  Own transport to get to and from work
