We’re looking for an experienced Catering Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated catering team supporting Strathcarron Hospice.
About The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you’ll be part of a small, supportive kitchen team delivering high-quality food and service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing meals to meet the individual dietary needs of our patients
- Supporting food service for visitors to the Hospice and staff throughout the day
- Supporting the preparation of daily meals for patients, staff, and visitors
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
- Helping to create a warm, respectful and compassionate environment for all
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are:
- Experienced in a catering or food service environment, ideally in healthcare, hospitality, or similar setting.
- Skilled in cooking and baking would be an advantage.
- Genuine interest in preparing fresh, nutritious food.
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a range of shifts to meet service needs and personal commitments.
- Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Willing to learn and grow.
- On the job training will be provided.
The post is subject to a check by the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
