Job Title Responsible To Hourly Rate Hours Casual Playworker Senior Playworker General Manager £12.21 per hour As required Job Summary The Casual Playworker will work as required as part of a small team of Playworkers providing high quality care and opportunities for disabled children aged 5-19. Job Description • To work under the direction of the Senior Playworker • To work as part of the established Playworker team • To ensure the environment is safe and stimulating for children and caters for their recreational, social, emotional and physical needs • To familiarise themselves with any planned activities for the session and to take part and engage children in these • To be aware of the paperwork in place for each child and the importance of reading and understanding this prior to each session • Be part of establishing and nurturing positive relationships which allow children to play together cooperatively and increase their self-confidence • To assist with transporting children to and from the centre as necessary ensuring that relevant training is being applied at all times • To assist with the personal care of the children who require support • To safeguard the confidentiality of all service user information and records • To work to the charity’s Policies and Procedures at all times • Such other duties or responsibilities as may reasonably be required This job description will be reviewed regularly in light of changing service requirements and any such changes will be discussed with the post holder.
