The Faculty area is looking to appoint a dynamic, forward-thinking lecturer who has the vision and drive to expand the future direction of the business and management provision at Coleg Sir Gar & Coleg Ceredigion. Undertaking curriculum planning and delivery of ILM Level 2 - Level 7, the successful applicant will prepare learning materials, assess learner work, monitor progress and contribute to the quality assurance of the provision.
We seek an enthusiastic and determined ILM lecturer who will engage learners with the subject and prepare for assessment. A degree in Business or a related subject is essential. Candidates who have experience in teaching adult learners in similar settings and who possess a qualified teaching status would be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the planning, teaching, assessment and coordination of ILM Leadership and Management qualifications Level 2-7
- Undertake duties required of this role, e.g. quality assurance, Learning Programme/Annual Programme Review writing, validation requirements, etc
- Complete verifier qualification within a year of appointment (if unqualified)
- Assume the role of Course Tutor if appropriate
- Contribute to developing and delivering new courses and creating a culture of innovation
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Criteria:
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Teaching qualification (If you are not in possession of a teaching qualification as at the date of employment, you will be required to obtain a PGCE within 2 years of this date)
- Relevant MA/Level 7 equivalent qualification
- GCSE English and Mathematics at minimum Grade C or O Level equivalent
- Documented evidence of appropriate Professional Development
- Good literacy/numeracy/digital literacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work harmoniously with learners and colleagues
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Desirable Criteria:
- Relevant teaching experience
- A good understanding of relevant issues in post 16 education
- A proven track record of high levels of learner attainment
- Awareness of key performance indicators
- Evidence of innovative teaching and learning activities
- Evidence of effective tracking and monitoring of learner performance
- Experience of actively participating in the pastoral care of young people

- Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 0/1
- Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 0/1
