CASUAL CRICKET COACHES (Disability)

Location: Various locations within Nottinghamshire

Salary: £15.93 per hour

Trent Bridge Community Trust, the charitable arm of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, is looking to recruit casual coaches (Disability Cricket).

The Disability Casual Coach will be expected to plan, deliver and review high quality cricket sessions that are young person focused, adaptable and age appropriate. Have the ability to organise safe and enjoyable sessions that deliver the outcomes of the Disability Cricket programme.

Disability Cricket Programmes

Trent Bridge Community Trust offers cricket programmes to disabled people aged 7-40 across our projects. We are looking for qualified and enthusiastic coaches to deliver across the evolving Disability Cricket Pathway in SEND schools, community settings, cricket clubs and in county matches.

Super 1s

Community pan-disability cricket and life-skills for young disabled people aged 7-25. The project has 3 hubs operating all year round in winter and summer venues.

  • Mondays(Rushcliffe)- Rushcliffe Spencer Academy, West Bridgford / Keyworth CC, 5:30pm - 7pm
  • Wednesdays(Mansfield)– Oak tree Leisure Centre / Portland College, 5pm – 6.30pm
  • Fridays(Mapperley)– Bluecoat Trent Academy / Gedling Colliery CC, 6pm - 7pm

SEND Schools

Daytime curriculum delivery in 25 SEND schools countywide, consisting of Table and Softball Cricket and culminating in festivals and competitions (county, regional, national). Sessions are delivered to KS2 age groups upward.

Super 9s

Entry-level cricket format for players taking part in county-level disability cricket. We run training, matches and festivals with other counties in the East Midlands region.

Young Adult Disability Cricket

Non-competitive pan-disability community adult cricket sessions for ages 25-40.

To be successful in this role you will need to be inspirational and have a passion to help develop young people, be up for a challenge, love sport, show initiative and have strong interpersonal skills. 

The successful applicant is required to have a minimum ECB Foundation Coaching Qualification (or equivalent), Safeguarding, First Aid and a full driving license with access to a vehicle.

Due to the nature of this role an ECB Enhanced DBS will be required.
