While every effort has been made to outline the key duties of this role, additionalresponsibilities may be required from time to time in line with the evolving needs of the School.Key Responsibilities:Clean and maintain all designated areas to a high standard. Areas may include classrooms, offices, corridors,stairways, halls, sports halls, reception areas, toilets, bathrooms, boarding rooms, staff rooms, study areas, and theswimming pool.Carry out routine cleaning tasks including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and dusting and polishingfurniture and other surfaces.Clean walls, paintwork, tiling, mirrors, and other surfaces as required.Empty, clean, and maintain waste and recycling bins in accordance with School procedures.Ensure all cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals are used, stored, and secured correctly in line withCOSHH regulations and School policies, and that cleaning cupboards and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.Identify and report any defects, damage, or maintenance issues (e.g. broken furniture or fittings) to the LineManager in a timely manner.Comply with all Health and Safety requirements at all times and report any concerns or incidents promptly to theCleaning Supervisor and the Head of Domestic Services.Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Cleaning Supervisor or the Head of Domestic Services.Casual CleanerHead of Domestic Services and Cleaning SupervisorWe are seeking a reliable cleaner to join our facilities team on a casual basis, supporting schoolholiday periods with the potential for additional ad hoc hours throughout the yearJob Title:Accountable to:Job Purpose:Safeguarding and Child ProtectionAldwickbury School is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
