Further Information

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking part-time Caretaker to join the Facilities Team at Red House School, to assist with maintaining the Junior and Senior School sites and premises to a high standard.

The role includes responsibility for the maintenance and security of the School to ensure that the premises are fit for purpose and meet the requirements of health and safety legislation and the curriculum. Weekend and out of hours working may be required on occasions.

The post holder will be required to be an experienced practitioner with significant practical skills. The role is operational, therefore you will be required to have a ‘hands on’ approach, as you will spend a significant proportion of your time involved in practical site activities including maintenance and porterage duties.

This post is responsible to the Facilities Manager and/or the Head.

In common with all employees of the school, the post-holder will:

  • Share the motivation to work with children and young people.
  • Have the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children.

Red House is a wonderful school, for boys and girls between 3 and 16 years, in the beautiful village of Norton on Teesside. It provides an excellent, inspirational, holistic education to 340 pupils. Results at GCSE are excellent, as is the pastoral care offered to our pupils. The children also participate in an extensive co-curricular programme and Red House sees considerable success in sport.

Interested candidates may contact Mrs Ann Morton, the Facilities Manager, for an informal conversation. She is available on the school number.

Further details and the school application form can be found below.  The completed application form, including the names and contact details of two referees should be emailed to ann.morton@redhouseschool.co.uk
