Caretaker – Help Keep Our Communities Clean, Safe and Welcoming

At Peabody, we're committed to helping people flourish. As a Caretaker, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our residential communities to the highest standards, ensuring residents feel proud of where they live.
What you’ll do
- Help create clean, safe, and welcoming environments for residents by delivering high-quality caretaking and cleaning services across communal indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness standards in line with Peabody's Gold Standard.
- Keep estates looking their best through litter picking, sweeping, waste management, and responding to emergency cleaning requirements.
- Carry out regular inspections of communal areas, identifying and reporting repairs, defects, and graffiti.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks, including lighting checks
- Build positive working relationships with residents, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact for caretaking-related enquiries.
- Follow Health & Safety, COSHH, and safe working procedures at all times to protect yourself, colleagues, residents, and visitors.
What You’ll Need
- Experience in cleaning, caretaking or facilities services.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and use your initiative.
- Good practical skills and attention to detail.
- Health & Safety awareness and knowledge of COSHH.
- The ability to carry out physical duties, including lifting bulky items and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
