Caretaker
Holy Trinity Church and the Trinity Centre are situated in the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield. The church is a historic Grade I listed building, while the purpose-built Trinity Centre opened in 1996 and is used for church and community activities, and commercial clients. Main duties
- To unlock and lock up as required
- To liaise with the Parish Administrator to assess pattern of hours and duties required (including evenings and weekends)
- To ensure the Trinity Centre is kept clean and tidy using a regular cleaning pattern
- To clean the wet areas of the church as required
- To move furniture as required
- To ensure church grounds and approach paths and entrances are regularly cleared
- To order and replenish essentials and cleaning products
- To support the work of the church and Trinity Centre by helping to provide a welcoming environment
Terms and Conditions
Working Hours: 15 – 18* hours per week, by arrangement (*dependent on availability.) Flexibility is essential for evening and weekends.
Rate of pay: £26,325 pa (FTE 37.5hpw) pro-rata (£10,530 - £12,636*)
Holiday allowance: Equivalent to 20 days plus statutory holidays pro-rata.
Pension: The post-holder will automatically be enrolled in the Diocese of Birmingham’s pension scheme, unless s/he specifically chooses to opt out of this.
Reporting to: The Rector.
Safeguarding: The post will be subject to Safeguarding training.
Appointment in the first instance will be subject to a 6-month probationary period.
